As main assembly parts of pleated filter cartridges, the plastic parts include outer cage(tube), inner supporting cores, end caps, adaptors, sealing parts of o rings and gaskets, pleat support net and protection outer sleeve.

What is the plastic filter cage of filter cartridge?

As of one basic assembly parts of filter cartridges, the plastic filter cage is mainly made of polypropylene material,

so it is also called PP pipe, PP outer tube, PP cylinder, PP outer cages.

Except for polypropylene, the plastic filter cage of filter cartridges is also made of fiberglass, nylon and other special materials.

Plastic parts for small diameter (standard/common) pleated filter cartridges:

Outer support cage/Center core (inner core): 68mm diameter

Center core (inner core): polypropylene, 28mm, 30mm diameter, other diameter can be custom made.

Common caps/Basic caps: 68mm.

End caps/adaptors: Fin, 226, 222 and other types.

 As of one assembly parts of high filter cartridges, the connection cap is to connect one 20inch long filter and one 40inch long filter to get one 60inch long high flow pleated filter. It is necessary part for making 60inch long high flow filter cartridges.

 What are end caps of high flow filter cartridges?

The end caps include top cover and bottom cap, used for filter’s installation and water exits, also called fitting ends.

In order to match a specific filter vessels or housings, there are specific requirements for the interface of the filter element.

Cartridge Filter Pleating Support Net And Protection Outer Sleeve

Pleats Support

Single extruded nettings with rhomboidal mesh are used as support of pleated filter medias and membrane-based materials for filter cartridges against liquids and air stream.

The use of the plastic net as a spacer among the pleats of a filter media helps in keeping the given shape and prevents them any contact, by keeping space and avoiding then a reduction of the filter performances.

The plastic mesh support netting is also more rigid than woven or nonwoven materials. Plastic mesh can support material in pleated cartridge filters with relatively uniform separation between the pleats, while providing enough rigidity to keep all of the pleats uniformly exposed to the stream. These features help to improve the filter elements' efficiency. Plastic mesh supports are made out of rugged polypropylene resin in natural color.

Outer Sleeve

The replacement of sheet metal with a plastic net sleeve allows the incineration of cartridge filters after their use. This saves time and money for disassemble and separate the filter components. Our filter cartridge outer wrap protection sleeve can be used in any industrial process, as they are completely suitable for welding.

Using plastic diamond mesh sleeves are for aesthetic design and high-quality protection of filter media.

Flexible tubular mesh sleeves can be "stretched" over the outer surface of filter cartridges. The plastic diamond mesh sleeve then fits snug against the outer surface to protect and contain media.

Tubular mesh sleeves can also be heat sealed to form a plastic bag or pocket on one end available upon request.

Our plastic tubular sleeves are bonded as outer wraps, or screens, to protect your filter media.

Filter cartridge outer wrap and protection sleeves come in cutting lengths according to your request.
