As one of end cap adaptors, FIN end cap with skirt is mainly used for 63mm diameter pleated filter, used as end cap of single 40inch long pleated filter.

What is difference between the common end cap and adaptors?
Most people call both of common end caps and adaptors as end caps. Common end cap is the basic end cap, adaptors include different types of end caps which are used for fitting ends of filter cartridges, adaptors include 222, 226, fin, flat cap and other, etc.


What is the common end cap of 68-69mm filter cartridge?
Compared with high flow filter cartridges, filter cartridges with outer diameter 68-69mm are smaller, so they are also called small diameter pleated filter cartridges. Although, the diameters of small filter cartridges from different supplier are a little different, but all of them are between 68-69mm, 68-69mm filter cartridges are treated as standard pleated filter cartridges.
And polypropylene standard pleated filter cartridges are most economic, used most often, so most people call standard pleated filter cartridges as PP pleated filter cartridges.
As of one basic assembly parts of filter cartridges, the common end cap is mainly made of polypropylene material.
Except for polypropylene, the common of filter cartridges is also made of fiberglass, nylon and other special materials.
Because welding common end cap is basic production process during most types of pleated filter cartridge production, the common end cap is also called the basic end cap.

What are the end caps-adaptors with skirt of filter cartridge? And what is the difference between end caps-adaptors with skirt and regular end cap adaptors?

For filter cartridges which are with regular end caps and adaptors, one complete set of filter plastic parts include: outer cage, inner core, basic caps and end caps. And before end caps welding, basic cap welding is necessary before it.

In the market, not all pleated filter cartridges are made of regular end caps and basic caps. There are some filter cartridges, whose plastic parts include inner core, outer cage and end caps, here end caps do not include basic cap.

Because the end caps here are with special skirt which can be welded onto outer cage and pleats end of filters directly. In simple words, end caps-adaptors with skirts are combination of basic cap and regular end caps.

End caps with skirt welding need higher skills and are with high requirement about welders and parts.
